Responsibilities

 

  • Developing and maintaining new and existing software products
  • Delivery of high-quality code
  • Helping the team build, test and release cool things faster, better and smarter. 
  • Communicating clearly and constructively with dev team colleagues and project stakeholders

Requirements

Must-have:
  • At least 2 years commercial experience in a PHP/Laravel/MySQL environment
  • Proven ability to develop complex web applications 
  • Strong git skills
  • Some knowledge of front-end JS frameworks, ideally Vue.js
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • A good understanding of the principles of Clean Code

 

Nice-to-have:
  • Working with very large data-sets
  • ElasticSearch (or other document-based database systems)
  • Web-scraping technologies & strategies
  • Docker
  • Puppeteer
  • Nginx / Apache / Linux administration
  • AWS (including EC2, S3, RDS, ElasticBeanstalk)
  • Other programming languages
  • Foreign language skills – especially reading ability in Spanish & other European languages, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, or Japanese.
